DESIGN STUDIO

Celebrating craftsmanship and artistry through intentional, immersive design rooted in nature, connection, and a sense of place.

Our Story

This is the place I call home.

Cedar & salt was founded in 2020 In the wake of the pandemic, the meaning of home took on new significance. Home became more than a physical space - it became a source of comfort, connection, belonging, and resilience. As I reflected on what home meant to me, I kept returning to the West Coast landscape that shaped me: towering cedar forests, salt air, rugged shorelines, and the rhythm of the Pacific Ocean.

For me, the cedar tree and the ocean represent a balance of complementary forces. Earth and water. Structure and movement. Masculine and feminine energies. The cedar stands rooted and resilient, while the ocean reminds us to adapt, evolve, and flow. Yet both share a quiet strength. The cedar bends with the wind, just as the waves continually shape the coastline through patience and persistence.

These ideas became the foundation of Cedar & Salt.

Today, the studio is guided by a belief that thoughtful design can foster connection - to ourselves, to each other, to culture, and to the natural world. Inspired by the landscapes of the Pacific Northwest, we create spaces that are grounded yet expressive, timeless yet evolving, and deeply connected to the people who inhabit them.

At its heart, Cedar & Salt is a reflection of home: a place where nature, craftsmanship, artistry, and human experience come together in harmony.
